Latest Price of Petrol, Diesel And Fuel in Indian Cities

Below table has the latest price of petrol and diesel in major Indian cities. These auto fuel prices are effective from October 1, 2013.

On 30 September, 2013 midnight, Indian Oil companies reduced the price of petrol by Rs 3.05 and raised the prise of Diesel by Rs 0.50. This is the seventh increase in fuel cost in the last four months. Petrol prices have decreased because the Rupee has appreciated.

At Rs 59.89, petrol in Goa is the cheapest in India. Prices are low because the Goa government does not charge VAT on Petrol. Andaman & Nicobar, Puducherry (Pondicherry), North Eastern states are some of the places where the price of fuel, both Petrol and Diesel, is lower than the Indian national average.

Due to high local taxes, cities in Maharashtra (Mumbai, Pune, Solapur, Amravati, Nanded, etc) have among the highest cost of Petrol.
